Tel Aviv Jaffa, the financial and cultural capital of Israel is a city of unique magic as well of great and un-recognized beauty.

Tel Aviv Jaffa is also a city with a huge potential that one day can be fulfilled.

In this website, we try to bring something from this city-by information and photos.

The website is being updated always, stay tuned.

The first Hebrew city.

Its previous name is "Ahuzat Bait".

The state of Israel was declared in Tel Aviv in 1948 at Meir Dizengof house (Dizengof was the first mayor of Tel Aviv).

Tel aviv has the biggest bus station in the world, even so there is no tram or metro in the city yet, although there is a plan to build one, the estimated date of the first line opening is in 2009.

It has a park equal in size to NYC's Central Park, and even bigger (3,500 dunams) - the Yarkon Park. The park is the most impressive and famous park in Israel.

There is a plan to build another park in south Tel Aviv which will be even bigger than "the Yarkon" park.

The Yarkon river is streaming through the Yarkon Park, the river flows alongside trees and greenery (unfortunately, the river is polluted, but there are plans to purificate it)

There are many building styles, and architecture from all over the world in Tel Aviv. frequently, several different styles are combined in one building. In the past Tel Aviv was the "guinea pig" of new and old architectural styles.
Some of the buildings are European, some are built according to the "Bauhaus" style which is typical for Tel Aviv, and high-rise building began later. The breakthrough in the high rise building was when the Shalom Meir Tower was constructed in the heart of the city, the tower was built before the WTC in New York City(1965).
After Shalom tower was built it was the tallest tower in Israel for over 30 years and one of the five tallest skyscrapers in Europe. The tower is the only one that was planed so a metro (the light train) station will be built beneath it, although there is another tower in Tel-Aviv is planed to have also a "Light train" station beneath it.
In Tel-Aviv there is even a bigger amount of future skyscrapers, which are under construction, approved or proposed.
The city of Tel-Aviv has developed from Jaffa, which exists more than 4000 years.

Today Tel-Aviv and Jaffa are united and called "Tel-Aviv Jaffa".
Jaffa, the "old town" of Tel-Aviv, has many tourist attractions and historic sites, but jaffa also suffers from poverty problems and neglected infrastructure .In recent years, there is a big construction boom in the city which has also govermental support.
The weather in Tel-Aviv in the summer is very hot with high precent of humidity, and in the winter is cold. The city has 56 rainy days in average every year.
The first marine in Israel was built in Tel-Aviv. In Tel-Aviv there are 3 marines, one of them is in Jaffa, the second is near the beach promenade and the last is located in the Yarkon river.
